Laser Etched Fleeces
What is laser etching?
Laser etching a fleece is a very cool and totally unique way of decorating a fleece with artwork and sayings. We literally burn the fuzz off of a fleece without burning through it. The result is a very specific etched look and feel that will never wash out because it was not printed in the usual manner with inks or dyes. It also does not look burned or damaged. The lasering reveals a very finished solid color fabric that acts as a visual contrast to the remaining fleece around it.
Which fleeces are best to laser?
Our micro fleeces laser etch the best. The etched artwork stands out from the rest of the fleece and can be seen from a far in any light. The burned area reveals a finished color that is similar to the color blocked striping on the sleeves of our micro fleeces, giving it a bit of a two tone look.
Our winter weight fleeces are also laser etched, but the lasered artwork is more subtle in appearance. It is not always visible from far away depending on the lighting, color of the fleece and the size and placement selected to laser the artwork. For the best results, choose a large size print and either Khaki or other lighter color.
Is the lasering in color?
Laser etching is NOT a color print. Do not expect it to be in color.
